Recreation League Schedule

Our updated Rec Handbook has additional rules and guidelines for our Rec players and families.

For 2024 our Rec season will run Tuesday and Thursday evenings from May 7th - June 20th. With an end of season tournament on Saturday, June 22nd.

Meet Your Coach Night: May 7th

Please note:

● You will be contacted by your coach prior to Meet Your Coach, letting you know what team your child is on

● Teams will group based on age and team color. If you are unsure of team/color, check in by the concession stand

● Practice on Meet Your Coach Night. All kids are encouraged to stay the entire time, during which kids will meet their coach and get some fun practice time in. Wear shin guards and shoes, Bring a soccer ball and Water Bottle!

● Mandatory parent meeting in the large pavilion by the concession stand, times listed above. At least one parent or guardian MUST attend. We will be reviewing key changes for the season!

WEATHER CANCELLATIONS: we will practice and play games in the rain, but not if there is lightning or if there are safety concerns. In the event that practice or games are cancelled due to weather, a message will be posted to the Cambridge Isanti Soccer Club Facebook page.

Rec Rules by Age

The following apply to all Rec players:

● Players must wear shin guards and soccer cleats or tennis shoes

● Player Playing Time: minimum 50%

● Substitutions: run by the referee at any stoppage in play (unlimited allowed)

● Ball out at goal: offense kicks from the corner, defense kicks from the goal

● Hand balls not allowed

● Parents must sit on the opposite side of the playing field

● If teams are short players for games, both teams will play with fewer players on the field and/or players may be asked to play with the opposing team if needed to balance out the teams

● If registration does not fill at age group, games may be played with fewer players than listed below on the field
